My name is Sophie. I am character in the novel Emile, which was written by the famous 18th century philosopher Jean Jacques Rousseau. I am the wife to be of the main character, Emile. According to Rousseau, I am the ideal woman. My education is different than that of my future husband because men and women are different. Not to mention, my education will help me assume my future role as a wife.
