Vivian Paley

I am Vivan Paley. I was born Jan. 25, 1925 in Chicago. I am a retired kindergarten teacher. I am also a child psychologist, and early education researcher. I have written several books. While teaching, I thougth there were too many boundaries on children's learning. I began to look at how play can be the most valuable tool for interaction and intellectual growth in kindergarten. I began to reasearch the idea of "play" as learning. Most of my books focus on this aspect.
